HELLO?!

Is anyone out there even reading this anymore? Show us some love!!!

At any rate, I had to go get fingerprinted today for the adoption stuff. The whole thing makes me nervous. I know I have a clean record, but there's always a chance that there's some kind of traffic violation I neglected to pay and now there's a warrant for my arrest... that kind of thing. Even that is unlikely, but being somewhere with inmates walking around (seriously, there were some inmates doing manual labor out in the open public spaces) was pretty nerve-wrecking. The officer who assisted me was so nice and made the whole thing so much better. Anyway, at least it's over and done with -- one more thing to check off the list! (Although R still needs to get hers done, too.)

Here's some transatlantic LURVE for you!

I can't believe you have to be fingerprinted for the adoption! What is the world coming to? Did they want your DNA on file too?

Hi! Still here. I usually read you on Bloglines, so that's why I'm not showing up.

I'm so glad you all are doing well, I can't believe you're down to 88 days! Ooooh, you're in the home stretch... Love the quilt by the way, it's beautiful! Sending you hugs...

Sorry! I've been a bad blog reader lately. But now sending some love from CT!

How very exciting how close you guys are getting!

It's funny about the finger printing thing. When I was doing all my paperwork for the bar exam - and I previously had a finger printing done when I was a teacher - I had this neurotic belief that something was on my record that I didn't do and it was going to destroy my career. I don't know what I expected to find, but it made me nuts waiting for the approval of my "character fitness"!!

I'm still reading, but Sparks has decided that sleeping is entirely optional so commenting on blogs has been replaced by stealth napping.
